Farmers markets in Brunswick offer a wide variety of local, fresh products including vegetables, dairy, meat, fish, shellfish, cut flowers, mushrooms, baked goods, and artisanal and prepared foods, all year long.
I encourage you to shop at one of our farmers markets to support our local farms.
The Brunswick High School Dragon Garden is making sustainable agriculture part of the high school culture, providing meaningful youth summer employment in an educational, supportive setting, and promoting a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
If you'd like to support the program, you can make a donation by check payable to the Brunswick School Department with "BHS Dragon Garden Project" on the memo line, and mail to

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteers program provides participants with at least 40 hours of in-depth training in the art and science of horticulture. Trainees receive current, research-based information from UMaine Extension educators and industry experts. In return, trained Master Gardeners volunteer their time and expertise in many ways for community programs and activities.
I encourage you to start gardening, and to consider becoming a master gardener volunteer if you're already a gardener.
